Dr. Yasmin Al-Mulla Hummadi is a UK-trained family physician with advanced specialization in dermatology, psychotherapy, and psychodermatology.
She graduated from the University of Baghdad before completing postgraduate training in Family Medicine in the UK. She took the path of Mental Health in 2020 by completing a one-year fellowship in Medical CBT in Toronto, followed by a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, UK in 2022.
She further expanded her expertise through a Diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy at Cambridge Muslim College, followed by pursuing her interest in Psychodermatology where she combined her passion in mental and skin health to obtain the European Diploma in Psychodermatology, followed by a Masters degree in Psychodermatology at Cardiff University — focusing her dissertation on the integration of Spiritual Psychotherapy with cutaneous (skin) health for better skin healing.

Dr. Hummadi has real life vibrant experience being a multi-war survival and an immigrant, these experiences have led her to learn ways to heal from, and live well with, such challenges. She’s eager to teach you how to use these ways for yourself!
She has practised in many settings treating diverse population with different cultural and religious backgrounds and in both major and rural cities which enriched her understanding of variety of beliefs and human behaviours that enabled her to start with each single patient from their own understanding and stage of readiness.
Dr. Hummadi offers clinical services which focus on the care of those with mental and physical illness including anxiety, depression, grief, PTDS, chronic pain, skin-mind related diseases and spiritual therapy.

Being the first MD in Ontario medical communities combining mind and skin Psychotherapy. She practices as a Family Physician licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
In addition to her Mind-Body Medicine practice in Oakville, Ontario, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Memorial University, Canada.
She holds Courtesy Staff privileges in the Department Family Medicine, Oakville, Milton and George Town Hospitals. She is an Alumni at Cardiff University, UK and Cambridge Muslim College, Cambridge, UK.
Following her Royal College Membership as a Family Physician, Yasmin continued to explore her interests in mind-skin-soul healing. She completed her training in Medical Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training with Dr Greg Dubord, psychiatrist in Toronto, for one and a half year obtaining her Fellowship in Medical Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and she pursue her passion on Mind, skin, spiritual therapy by undergoing Spiritual Psychotherapy one year Diploma training through the Cambridge Muslim College in the UK with Dr Abdullah Rothman and Dr Rania Awad. Alongside, she completed her 18-month training in Psychodermatology through the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry, with Dr Francoise Poot and Dr Anthony Bewley, and was mentored by Dr Muhammad Jeffarany, obtaining her Diploma in Psychodermatology.
Yasmin went on to obtain her Dermatology Diploma, followed by her Master’s Degree (MSc) in Psychodermatology from the prestigious Cardiff University in the UK, where her dissertation thesis was titled “The Role of Spiritual Psychodermatology in Skin Healing.”
She is undertaking Mind-Body Medicine training at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. She completed a Level-1 of 3 of the Shifaa Method, a spiritually grounded, heart-centered, somatic therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Abdallah Rothman,the CMC dean, with additional courses, retreats and/or workshops with teachers and trainers such as Dr Gabor Maté (Compassionate Inquiry in Action), Dr Bessel Van der Kolk( One year Certificate Program in Traumatic Stress Studies), Dr Janina Fisher ( Complex Trauma Certification Training Level 1&2 Course), Dr Russ Harris( CBT and ACT for Anxiety &Depression, Trauma Focused ACT, Grief and Loss)
Recently, Yasmin began conducting her own research on the interaction between Polyvagal Theories and Mind-Skin-Spiritual Therapy, and she is a member of the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care and the Membership Board of The Medical Psychotherapy Association Canada.
She graduated from the University of Baghdad with her medical degree before completing postgraduate training in Family Medicine in the United Kingdom, earning her MRCGP (Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners).
In 2020, Dr. Hummadi took the path of mental health by completing a one-year fellowship in Medical CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) in Toronto. This rigorous training equipped her with evidence-based therapeutic techniques grounded in medical understanding.
In 2022, she earned her Diploma in Practical Dermatology followed by a Masters degree in Psychodermatology at Cardiff University. UK — adding clinical dermatology expertise to her growing skill set.
Recognizing that many patients seek therapy that honours their spiritual beliefs, Dr. Hummadi pursued a Diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy at Cambridge Muslim College. This training taught her to integrate spirituality with Psychotherapy in a respectful, evidence-informed way.
Combining her passion for mental and skin health, Dr. Hummadi obtained the European Diploma in Psychodermatology, followed by a Masters degree in Psychodermatology at Cardiff University. Her dissertation focused on the integration of Spiritual Psychotherapy with cutaneous (skin) health for better healing outcomes — pioneering research in this emerging field.
