Psychotherapy Counseling

Psychotherapy is a vital tool in addressing mental health concerns. It involves talking with a trained therapist to understand and cope with issues affecting one's mental health and well-being. Dr. Hummadi offers compassionate and confidential psychotherapy sessions, focusing on creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through psychotherapy, clients gain deeper insights into their challenges and develop effective strategies for dealing with them.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a highly effective form of therapy that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. Dr. Hummadi employs CBT to help clients alter unhelpful thinking and behavior, leading to improved mood and functioning. This approach is particularly effective for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a form of therapy that helps individuals embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. Dr. Hummadi utilizes ACT to enhance psychological flexibility, encouraging clients to develop a mindful relationship with their experiences and commit to actions that align with their values. This approach is beneficial for those struggling with a range of emotional difficulties.

Mindfulness Techniques

Mindfulness involves being fully present and engaged in the moment, aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgment. In her practice, Dr. Hummadi integrates mindfulness techniques to help clients develop greater awareness and acceptance of their present-moment experiences. This method is particularly helpful in managing stress, anxiety, and emotional reactivity..

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT combines cognitive therapy with meditative practices and attitudes based on the cultivation of mindfulness. Dr. Hummadi offers MBCT to help clients who have experienced repeated episodes of depression or chronic unhappiness. It teaches clients how to break the cycle of depression relapse by recognizing and disengaging from habitual negative thought patterns.
